A Storey worth Telling

Modus are proud and infinitely honoured to have been given the opportunity to work on our first project with British Land on their flexible workspace offering, Storey.

With a strong portfolio and infinite growth potential, Storey offer a flexible workspace solution with a key consideration on client flexibility. With opportunities to make a space one’s own, each space is offered with variable requirements, as well as possible opportunities for client-specified branding and personalisation. All this alongside acceptance for nothing less than the best in quality and world-class design makes every Storey space like no other.

With architects Gensler in control of design, Modus’ own Project Designers had a rare opportunity put their feet up and let the Technical team take control! Working closely with Gensler, Modus took full responsibility for ensuring that the integrity of Gensler’s design intent was honoured, and worked with the Architects closely to ensure that any clashes, procurement risks or cost saving opportunities were flagged and offered for consideration. Through a careful process of Technical Submissions, we prioritised programme critical decisions to ensure that deadlines were addressed pragmatically, and due attention was given to the things that mattered, with no stone left unturned.

The result is a smoothly run 15,000sqft Detail and Build project with a huge emphasis on Detail. Every junction, finish and specification has been meticulously and lovingly considered, to the closest of attention and the highest of standards. It is a project to be proud of, and we most certainly are.
