Modus hosted a spectacular and adrenalin fuelled day at Cowes on Friday 8thAugust for friends and key partners within the surveying world. Despite the weather forecast being far from perfect, the rain held off and the seas were calm allowing our two 9m ribs the chance to open the throttles and explore the Solent and all the sights including visits to the Needles, Yarmouth, Cowes and Buckler’s Hard on the Beaulieu River, the 18th Century shipbuilding village where Nelson’s fleet was built. Much of the Cowes Week racing was cancelled due to light winds so whilst those under sail faltered, we were enjoying the sea at its best during an action packed day.
