A team led office space for finnCap
finnCap is an entrepreneurial, employee-owned, award-winning broker and financial adviser. They advise on, promote and provide access to capital for ambitious, fast-growth companies in both the private and public equity markets, with outstanding client service.
finnCap gave us a very clear and defined brief; to design an office for their team that would feel like home. We got together, listened carefully to their company objectives, the individual needs of their team, their culture and aspirations for the future. We took all of that learning away and designed our vision for their team led office space.
The sophisticated main reception area
With client meetings a fundamental part of the business, we built a luxurious reception area and front of house meeting suite ensuring the perfect first impression of the company and office. Designed with maximum flexibility and functionality in mind the front of house and client-facing areas provide the finnCap team with a physical environment that supports their objectives.
An ideal place for informal catch-ups
So, how did we do it? Utilising and maximising space planning was essential. Together with our technical team, we positioned the client suite at the front, ensuring it connected with the main reception, with the remaining office space wrapping around these key areas.
A comfortable communal breakout area
Another request within the design brief was a large, communal breakout area for their team to gather for social events and some time away from their desks during the day.
With a clear understanding of their team culture and way of working, we divided the open plan into sections, breaking the larger space into sections that were designed specifically to support the needs of individuals and teams. While glass dividers featuring manifestations provided privacy without compromising on light, other areas were more open plan, emphasising the ease of collaborating with one another. Quiet rooms and booths were installed for the team to allow a space for privacy or a quiet moment away to work solo. Meeting rooms lined the edge of the open plan area giving the team visibility, making it even easier to pop in ad hoc catch ups or brainstorming sessions.
The result is a multi-purpose, team-orientated, functional space tailored to suit their team and clients needs.
